Day 174

The day my milk came in I cried and cried.

Some mysterious floodgates opened in my body and suddenly,

with each sweet spray and tingling letdown,

I was freely weeping.

A woman not sad, exactly,

more like stripped bare, torn away,

revealed, made new.

Stronger.

Better.

Unbounded.

Born again,

a mother.

And that’s how I know

how the earth feels.

Because she’s a mother too.

Thank you for listening,

Love,

Natasha
