Stolen

Day 222

There are women and girls

not unlike our mothers, and daughters,

sisters, and aunts,

ourselves,

stolen

from their homes and villages

families and lives

and sold

as slaves.

To fill the appetites of monsters

wearing the clothing of men.

And that’s why civilization must be

dismantled bit by bit

until even the dust is demolished,

mixed with garden soil

and fed to the plants to grow again.

Because you can’t teach someone

not to commodify living beings.

That is a broken-ness so deep

it cannot be mended.

You can only destroy the culture

that created that madness

in the first place.

This is a systemic problem,

and we must fight it systemically

from the inside out.

There is a sadness,

a hollowness,

an ache in my bones.

I’m howling for my sisters tonight.

Feeling their pain.

This civilization is not worth saving.

It is an insult,

and an assault,

to all living things.

We must act accordingly.

I’m so sorry my sisters.

I love you.

Thank you.

Please forgive me.

It’s not enough.

Thank you for listening,

Love,

Natasha

  1. None are Free Until All Are Free. Bring our sisters home on wings of respect to land in the arms of compassion.
